REVISION- THE 'EN PASSANT', WAYS TO DRAW


The 'en passant' involves only two enemy pawns. The only situation that this can be done is when we have a pawn that has just moved up two squares and landed immediately beside an enemy pawn, this enemy pawn can now capture this pawn on the square bellow, just like it would have captured it if the pawn had only moved one square instead of two.

Ways to draw
-1. The two players agree
-2. There is repetition of the exact same position three times.
-3. 50 consecutives moves with the king, at the condition that we can only move this one.




The pawn on c4 just moved two squares. The black pawn on d4 can now take the white pawn on c3.
